Abstract: Burkholderia cepacia complex was isolated from pericardial fluid in a patient with metastatic lung adenocarcinoma, representing a rare opportunistic pericardial infection. Clinical improvement following targeted antimicrobial therapy supported its pathogenic significance and highlights the importance of microbiological evaluation of malignant pericardial effusions.
